Milwaukee Film’s Sofa Cinema
A Virtual Experience: Ongoing SeriesMilwaukee Film has created a new way to keep you connected with the power of film. MKE Film's new Sofa Cinema platform connects you with the same high-quality independent films you'd enjoy at the Oriental Theatre. And just like the screenings at the theater, a portion of the profits from your streaming rental go directly to Milwaukee Film. MKE Film adds new titles into the mix every Friday, so keep an eye out for more releases. Even if we're not together in person, Sofa Cinema lets us be together in film.
The Warehouse Virtual Exhibition
A Virtual Experience: Now through June 30The online doors to The Warehouse’s virtual exhibition of On the Nature of Wisconsin have been opened. This free virtual exhibition of the show is now accessible by computers and mobile devices through The Warehouse’s website and social media. Featuring work from the permanent collection of The Warehouse, On the Nature of Wisconsin is a celebration of Wisconsin artists and their relationship with the natural world. Focused on a state known for its fresh water, forests and parks, this exhibition examines the connections artists have made and observed with these surroundings. Included works depict sweeping landscapes, quiet farm life, reimagined plants and animals, and objects exemplifying natural forms. The exhibition features the work of 40 artists and is curated by Dr. Annemarie Sawkins, guest curator. It had been mounted at The Warehouse from January through March.
