Talk Derby to Me, Milwaukee ….
It’s the Derby party that tops all Derby parties. And this year The Iron Horse Hotel is pulling out all the stops. On Saturday, May 4, the hotel will be offering a lavish party experience, featuring additional bars, bottomless Mint Juleps, VIP table service, two DJs, a living wall for all those “Instagrammable” moments and jumbo screens showing The Most Exciting 2 Minutes in Sports.
Southern specialty Maker’s Mark Mint juleps in hand ($55 for a bottomless mug), guests are encouraged to dress in their Derby finest, compete in the “best hat” and “best bow tie” contests to win a complimentary one-night stay, have their photo taken in the Winner’s Circle with the hotel’s champion horse, enjoy an over-the-top floral wall for photo opps and visit the Veuve Clicquot-Moet & Chandon Champagne Bar.
This year, a limited number of “bottomless” Mint Julep mugs will be available to reserve for a discounted price of $45. VIP Bottle Service packages will also be available for Milwaukee’s most discerning guests.
The 145th Run for the Roses race starts promptly at 5:50 p.m., and will be marked by Milwaukee’s own Bugler Bill cranking out the traditional “Call to the Post.” DJ Shawna will keep the party going in The Yard until 7 p.m., with DJ Paul H shaking up the Lobby and Smyth.
There are two unique ways to elevate your Derby experience in 2019.
